Nutritional series: Dehydration

Dehydration is huge because most people have it. Dehydration is the lack of water in the body. Water is needed to produce energy.

I have many people come in who complain of lack of energy. Lack of energy, fatigue is the first sign of dehydration. So, if you suffer from lack of energy you might be dehydrated. You might be able to get your energy back by drinking water through the day. If this is what you are suffering with then you will see results within a day or so.

Sometimes water does not get into the body. A way to help the water assimilate into the body  would be to add some lemon or sea salt into the water. The minerals will help to drag water into the body.

I also do a lot of muscle testing in my office. I have noticed that dehydration will cause all of your muscles to work differently when you are dehydrated. This puts you at a higher risk of getting injured. Even if you are doing the things correctly.

You are supposed to be drinking at least half your body weight in ounces per day. More if you are moving around  or exercising a lot.

I challenge you to drink more water and see how you feel.
