So what is the difference between Applied Kinesiology and muscle testing?

On the surface they appear to be the same thing because Applied Kinesiology uses muscle testing. But, those that just do muscle testing are not doing Applied Kineiology.

Applied Kinesiology

AK is a huge body of knowledge that has accumulated over the years. AK is also very specifically a chiropractic technique taught only to chiropractors. AK uses a model that looks at physical, chemical and mental aspects of our body and correlates them through the nervous system, neuro lymphatic system, neuro vascular system, cranio/sacral system and acupuncture systems.

AK has a very specific way of analyzing each of the systems. Through each of these treatments we can get closer to the cause of a problem. It also does not matter what the problem is. I have seen the same AK methods to help get someone out of chronic pain/problems help someone improve their golf game.

I got into AK because this really allows me to have a full body approach when working with people. I can also find relationships that are not readily known or in any textbooks.

Here are some examples of experiences that I have come across using muscle testing.

  • Undetected muscle injury causing years of unusual shoulder pain

The limit of AK falls on your training, experience and creativity. AK is also a body of knowledge and some chiropractors have taking this information and created new techniques based upon this. Some to expand the body of knowledge others to organize it.

Muscle testing

Even though AK is a chiropractic technique you don’t have to be a chiropractor to do muscle testing. This means that anyone out there can use muscle testing. This also means that you have to go through more training to get the full body approach.

Please don’t let this keep you from seeking help from people who do muscle testing.

What I have found is that many people who get muscle testing training have some training of the individual muscle testing techniques from AK. Allergies and nutrition testing are very common uses for muscle testing outside of AK.

When it comes to allergy testing the most important factor is that you do it right. The studies that show the effectiveness of muscle testing for allergies do it use AK or similar testing. The studies that don’t show correlation between muscle testing and allergies don’t follow what should be done for appropriate testing. So, training is very important when doing muscle testing.

Muscle activation

One type of muscle testing that I have found really helpful for physical problems is called muscle activation.

This is a technique that really teaches how to muscle test each muscle in the body. They look for muscles that are not working correctly and activate them. All the providers I have seen in the Dallas area are physical trainers. This is a great tool for physical complaints. The muscle activation is a part of the muscle injury recovery from AK.

Muscle testing training

I started doing muscle testing classes because I was not happy with how people were using and doing muscle testing. I found that people had information that was backwards, mixed up or just wrong. This is the reason why some people do not find that it works well for them.

If you can muscle test correctly you can massively change your health and the health of your family.
